D.SPORTS partners with many of Düsseldorf’s top clubs and is particularly committed to supporting athletes. D.SPORTS also organises major sporting events relating to elite and competitive sport. Its portfolio includes not only major events in the large multi-purpose arenas, but also sporting events across the entire city. Furthermore, D.SPORTS has an extensive sports business and partner network and is responsible for everything to do with top-level sport in Düsseldorf.

Through Team Düsseldorf, D.SPORTS, together with a growing network of partners, supports top-class athletes from Düsseldorf-based clubs on their journey to the Olympic and Paralympic Games. Team members receive ongoing financial support and are also supported on their ‘Road to Paris’ in areas such as transport, fitness and dual careers.

With a view to the world’s biggest sporting event in Paris in 2024, a dedicated team has been put together for the fifth time to represent the sporting city of Düsseldorf at the Games under the motto #rheinischeWeltklasse.

Home of Top Clubs

In the face of new media and competing leisure activities in an increasingly intense competitive environment, identification through shared values and emotional connection is playing an ever more important role. We aim to present ourselves as a modern and forward-looking sports organisation and to provide a communication platform for a broad community of people who are passionate about top-class sport in Düsseldorf and who want to help make emotional experiences in Düsseldorf tangible and accessible in the future. Naturally, we cannot do without our top clubs and are integrating them into our communication strategy.

D.SPORTS represents over 100,000 organised sportspeople across nearly 400 clubs. A large number of top clubs, competing in Germany’s highest leagues, are based at D.SPORTS venues. These include, amongst others, Fortuna Düsseldorf in football and futsal, as well as the Düsseldorfer Eislauf-Gemeinschaft (DEG) with its ice hockey team. With its numerous and diverse venues, this sporting city offers ideal conditions for clubs involved in elite sport.
