In Team Düsseldorf, D.SPORTS, jointly with a growing network of partners, supports top athletes from Düsseldorf teams on their way to the Olympic and Paralympic Games. Team members receive continual financial support and are advised on topics such as mobility, fitness or dual careers on their “Road to Paris”.
With a view to the world’s biggest sporting event in Paris in 2024, a special team has been assembled for the fifth time to represent the sports city of Düsseldorf at the Games under the motto of world class from the Rhine region #rheinischeWeltklasse.
In view of new media and competing leisure activities in an ever more competitive environment, identification through values and emotions plays an increasingly important role. We present ourselves as a contemporary and future-oriented sports unit offering a communication platform for a large community enthusiastic about top-class sport in Düsseldorf who want to help make emotional experiences in Düsseldorf tangible and accessible in the future. Obviously, we cannot do that without our top teams and will integrate them into our communication project.
D.SPORTS stands for over 100,000 organised athletes in almost 400 teams. A large number of top teams that are represented in Germany’s highest divisions have their home at D.SPORTS venues. These include Fortuna Düsseldorf in football and futsal as well as Düsseldorfer Eislauf-Gemeinschaft (DEG) with its ice hockey team. With its numerous and diverse venues, the sports city offers optimal conditions for teams in top-class sports.
