Event ambulance: the first vaccination center in NRW

During the pandemic, we were all faced with major social challenges. One of them was to give people access to the new, life-saving vaccines as quickly and easily as possible. Thanks to our event know-how, our resources and our highly motivated team, we were able to celebrate the pre-opening of an 8,000 sqm vaccination center at the MERKUR SPIEL-ARENA with a preparation time of only 2.5 days (!). Including set-up, equipment and organization, as well as provision of the entire non-medical staff. Among the first guests were the then Minister of Health Jens Spahn, Minister President Armin Laschet and Mayor Dr. Stephan Keller.

In no time

The MERKUR SPIEL-ARENA was transformed into a highly efficient and professional vaccination center in a very short time. Based on years of experience gained in the event industry, the team was able to react quickly to the dynamic vaccination situation. Thus, it was possible to react to the higher demand for vaccination even at short notice and, among other things, to adapt the premises to the demand.

The 2nd largest in NRW

The vaccination center at the MERKUR SPIEL-ARENA was the second largest vaccination center in all of NRW. Due to the high flexibility and dynamic adaptability, it was possible to more than exceed the 2,400 vaccinations per day set by the state. In the meantime, up to 5,000 vaccinations per day were made possible. And this in a highly professional, organized and safe manner.

1.0 becomes 2.0

After 164 days and 484,395 vaccinations, Vaccination Center 1.0 at the MERKUR SPIEL-ARENA was closed. The next step was vaccination center 2.0 at Bertha-von-Suttner-Platz. With 12 vaccination lanes on 1,600 sqm, D.LIVE supports the state capital in creating new capacities to meet the high demand in the ongoing vaccination campaign.
