This year, the Düsseldorf Christmas market will delight visitors with seven themed markets and over 200 festively decorated stands. Around 150 exhibitors present their craftsmanship and Christmas delicacies and ensure that over 3 million visitors can enjoy the Christmas season in a unique atmosphere in Düsseldorf city centre every year.
Altstadtmarkt
In the heart of the Old Town on Flinger Straße - a Christmas link between the Handwerkermarkt and Kö-Bogen Markt.
The huts and stands at the Altstadtmarkt are modelled on old Düsseldorf town houses.

Kö-Bogen Markt
Situated between Kö-Bogen I and II, the Kö-Bogen Markt is located in a unique architectural setting that cannot be found anywhere else. Traditional retailers have been offering their goods there for several decades and are complemented by the shops, restaurants and cafés in the Kö-Bogen II building.

Märchenmarkt
The Märchenmarkt is located between Schadowstraße and Königsallee and is ideal for a journey of discovery into the enchanting world of German fairy tales. 15,000 LEDs ensure that the square shines in a magical light - as a fairytale world for young and old. The wooden silhouettes on the huts are based on illustrations specially created by an artist.

Handwerkermarkt
Directly in front of Düsseldorf's town hall.
At the foot of the equestrian statue of Kurfürst Jan Wellem, the market square is home to the Handwerkermarkt (craftsmen's market) with huts and little houses in a colour and style reminiscent of the brick building of the historic Renaissance town hall.

Kö-Lichtermarkt
Selected huts are set up on this magnificent street, which is one of the most famous shopping streets in Europe. If you want to linger amidst the magical lights and enjoy the very special Christmas magic, this is the place to be. Because here you can see that Königsallee is not just a luxury shopping mile, but simply a wonderful boulevard.

Schadowmarkt
The Schadowmarkt is located on one of Düsseldorf's most important shopping streets, right next to the Schauspielhaus theatre. Here you can find almost everything for every budget. If you walk past the festively decorated huts, you will also find numerous shops that leave nothing to be desired. Christmas market and shopping mile form a symbiosis.

Roncalli's Weihnachtspromenade
In cooperation with the Roncalli Circus Theatre, the market on the Christmas promenade will be held for the first time this year. The newly created market will be located on the picturesque Rhine promenade between Burgplatz and Alter Holzbrücke.

Park & Ride
Use one of the Park & Ride options for a stress-free journey by car. From now until 30 December, visitors can book a Park & Ride KombiTicket for car park P7 at the MERKUR SPIEL-ARENA online. The KombiTicket includes a parking ticket for car park P7 in the MERKUR SPIEL-ARENA and a public transport ticket for the entire Düsseldorf city area. The U78 underground line takes you from the MERKUR SPIEL-ARENA/Messe Nord stop to the city centre in just 15 minutes. All information can be found here.
Düsseldorf Airport also offers a Park & Ride KombiTicket, which allows you to use car park P13 at the airport. This also includes travel on the Rheinbahn to Düsseldorf city centre. The U79 line also takes 15 minutes from the ‘Lohausen’ stop to the city centre. All information can be found here.
By Car
If you are travelling by car, you can park for a fee in the underground car park Am Rheinufer, in the multi-storey car park on Schadowstraße or on Carlsplatz.
A free alternative is the Provinzial car park at Hohensandweg 41, which is located directly on the A46 motorway and can be used free of charge on busy days. On Saturdays in December (9, 16 and 23 December), the Provinzial multi-storey car park can be used between 10 am and 10 pm. From there, you can easily reach the Christmas market in the city centre by public transport.
