With several Christmas markets and millions of visitors, Düsseldorf transforms into a festive city in the run-up to New Year’s Eve. The themed markets make Düsseldorf’s Christmas market an attraction for young and old alike and have been inviting visitors to stroll around for years. The individual themed markets are just a glass of mulled wine apart and exude a festive atmosphere. Centrally located in the city centre, Düsseldorf’s Christmas market is easily accessible by public transport. Make use of the numerous S-Bahn, U-Bahn and bus services that take you straight to the centre.
For visitors arriving by car, there are several multi-storey car parks around the city centre. Please note, however, that car parks are very busy during the Christmas season. We therefore recommend making use of the numerous Park and Ride facilities.
